Plot Overview

Turns out, Cyrus is one of the six royal protectors of Dragonwall. By saving him, Claire gets pulled into a world full of magic and politics. She has to help Cyrus's king, Talon, who's got his own set of issues, including being scarred and without a mate. As Claire navigates threats and a growing enemy, she and the mysterious king Talon start to develop a slow-burn romance. The story mixes modern vibes with a medieval fantasy setting.

Review

This book was an amazing read! The plot is packed with unexpected twists and turns, making it both refreshing and captivating. The characters are fantastic, each with their own mix of flaws and strengths. Even the "minor" characters with their POVs that interrupt Claire at exciting moments play such crucial roles in the story that I can't even be mad at them. The characters are well-crafted, and the plot isn't just another dragon-themed story you've seen a million times. The world-building is unique, with just the right amount of detail so you don't feel overwhelmed. The plot keeps you guessing, and you never know what's coming next. I highly recommend checking out this book. I can't wait to dive into the second one and see what trouble the characters get into!
