"Irish Thoroughbred" is a captivating romance novel penned by the renowned author Nora Roberts, first hitting the shelves in 1981. Set against the stunning backdrop of the picturesque Irish countryside, the narrative delves deeply into themes of love, family, and the exhilarating world of horse racing, all while painting a vivid picture of the lush landscapes and rich culture that define Ireland.

Plot Summary

For Adelia “Dee” Cunnane, her uncle’s invitation is a dream come true. He wants her to come to America to work with him at one of the most respected stables in the country. Starting as a groomer puts Dee in constant contact with the horses she loves—as well as Travis Grant, the stable’s proud owner. And as the lush Maryland horse country begins to work its charms on Dee, so does Travis, pulling her into a turbulent passion with unexpected consequences…

My Review

I picked up "Irish Thoroughbred" by Nora Roberts ages ago, and it immediately made it onto my Oldie but Goodie list. This book started my Nora Roberts obsession. She's amazing at crafting relatable characters and weaving stories that pull you right into the emotional core. I fell in love with Dee and Paddy instantly, and their talks about Ireland make me want to book a flight there right away. Gotta love that classic Irish temper. It's not a book that makes you think too hard, but sometimes you just need a feel-good story with a happy ending. I totally recommend this one or anything else by Nora Roberts.
