Conclusion

This cozy mystery book series is like a comfy blanket on a rainy day, with a storyline that twists and turns more than a rollercoaster ride. The characters are as colorful as a box of crayons, and readers can't get enough of the book's charm, with one fan loving its small-town vibes. Who wouldn’t be entertained by a retired murder-mystery podcaster (who's also a PI with an expired license) trying to start fresh by opening a quaint coffee and pastry shop, only to stumble into a whodunnit murder mystery? My favorite part was when Parker, the main character, discussed her detective work with a dog who looked like he was taking notes. Aside from Parker, Clyde steals the show with his motto, "everything is fixable." He’s the ultimate handyman, offering a safe place to crash and tossing in free pecan pies like a bonus round. I adore how author Stier ropes us in, making us feel like Parker’s trusty sidekick as she sleuths her way through town. I highly recommend this book to all cozy mystery fans and can't wait to dive into more of Simone Stier’s delightful tales!
